How is Contested defined in a legal contract?
- Contested means a type of divorce where the parties have disagreements about issues such as the grounds for divorce, spousal support, child custody, visitation, child support, property division, or debt allocation. This is contrasted with an 'Uncontested' divorce which is filed on no fault grounds and does not have the aforementioned issues in dispute. Seen in 16 SEC filings
- Contested means, in relation to any subject such as taxes or claims for labour, material, supplies or services, contesting the amount, validity or application of such subject in good faith and through appropriate legal or administrative proceedings. Seen in 9 SEC filings
